Is my impression correct that the latest version
is 4.2?

Then, what LDS products, or products, come
with this as the viewer please?

Cheers,

Hello Tom,

On installing the data files from Disk 1 of the Second edition of the
British Vital Records Index Version 4 (supplied with that set) is
updated to Version 4.02

I do know the Canadian 1881 Census set also comes with Version 4 of
the viewer but to the best of my knowledge only the 2nd edition of the
British Vitals has the update to 4.02.

I am not aware of any newer viewer version.

Thanks Bob, what's a 0 between
friends - 4.2 vs 4.02, I knew
there was a 4 and a 2 in it somewhere.

My ? was prompted by a small article
on page 51 of the November Family
Tree Magazine about problems with
the Resource File Viewer and XP and
the cure being some fiddle.

I thought I read somewhere during a
Google that V 4.02 was OK, so I was
seeing if a "cheap" LDS product had
4.02

Cheers,
