Help required for driver to operate Samsung Laser Printer ML
Hi,
I would be most grateful if some kind person can point me in the right
direction to obtain a driver for my as yet unused Samsung Laser Printer,
model No. ML-5200A.
I have had this equipment for several years and to be truthful have not
yet seen it working other than to print out a demo page. It seems that
whatever text I send to the printer fails to go anywhere. I am using
Windows XP Pro. I seem to be unable to gain any help from Samsung for
this problem. Lesson learned never to again purchase a Samsung product.

However they don't have any drivers for ML-5200A.
It doesn't look as though Samsung released any drivers for it apart from
those for Win98 which were on the CD which came with the printer.
There is a driver for the ML-5100A - again only released for Win98 which
has a couple of comments implying it works most of the time on WinXP so
perhaps you could try the driver that came with the printer.
For Win2K there is a suggestion using the ML-85 PCL driver in Win2K for
the 5100A.

If it's a PCL printer, try an HP LaserJet driver. The LaserJet II,
III, and 4 drivers are included in XP. Start with the II driver and
work up until it fails.

Samsung are a very good company in Europe, I deal with them a lot.
The ML-5200A was only sold into limited markets. There is a french
language driver on the Samsung site or it is built into Windows XP Pro
or Windows 2003.
