SGML DTD for genealogy

Does anyone know if there is any SGML DTD for producing genealogy
documents? I don't mean an XML version of GEDCOM or anything
like that, but something along the lines of DocBook but having
genealogy-specific markup.

Suggest you have a look at "Gramps" on Linux. It will export to
portable XML, Gramps XML database ... Also makes reports that Open
Office can massage into several output formats. Luck!

GenXML is what I like to use.
