ohmiGene is complete software (Donateware) for the creation and the
management of genealogical data, susceptible to work on MacOS X, Windows
and Linux (with the same database).

For information: ohmiGene is certainly software, using a database, which
handle best the gedcom format.

in Linux is that ohmiGene does not "remember" the path to media and has
to be set each time a media is added. The path works correctly in
Windows.

Thank you for the remark.

I had tried with Mandrake 10.1. It was OK.
But since, my PC with Linux fell out of order.
As soon as it will be repaired, I shall look at problem

you may run LINUX under MacOS 10.4*
using http://www.parallels.com/

I have two virtual PCs running
one on line in danish WinXP2 with banking
the other english WinXP2 with FTM 2006

there is s shared files folder on both desktops
and the parallels tools enables a shared clip board too

the very expensive dual core Intel PowerBook 17"1680 x 1050 now looks
excellent value with two machines in one and a second screen with the
PC desktop running on it (an old HP 50 monitor 1024 x 768 which was
thrown out by a friend's doctor daughter)
of course any window can be on either monitor


I will be adding a Linux virtual machine next
but I don't know which version to get from where
help anyone?

each virtual machine gets a unique MAC number and shows on the bridged
LAN / WAN independantly


and Button won today !
