Liv August and Nicoline are members of Johans family. I also have Hans and Sophie. Hans and August came to the U. S. and settled in Minnesota but haven't found out where there yet. Also Sophie, too. I found Ole Johansen's parents now too. They are Helene and Carl Johan Nilsen Korperud from Trogstad that is the section I'm researching now. Want to find more on Johan Nilsen and his family and life.

Karl Johan Nilsen Korperud was my greatgrandmothers half-brother. He had four sisters and four brothers, and I have registrated them all. One brother went to US too. His name was Hans Petter, and he called him self Ruud in US. He was born in 1854 and married with Milla Petersdauther Haugen born 1854.
Hans Petter was shoemaker and priest in US.
They lefts Norway ca 1880. They lived in North Dacota and they had sex children:
I only know three of them: Alfred, Mabel and Edna born 1890 married 1911 with James (Jim) Østby (Ostby). They lived in Froid Montana, were they had a ranch. The ranch is still in their possession. I suppose Ednas son Emery and his wife Sigfrids son Andy is living on the ranch now.

Ednas greatgrandchild Valerie Danielson visited Norway in 1997. Her name is Valerie Danielson, Box 242, Medicine Lake, Montana 59247, U.S.A.
