ønsker informasjon om Even Hansen,født 1847 i Gausdal, og kona Sidsel Olsdatter, født 07.07.1851 i Ringsaker, de ble viet 28.11.1873 og fikk 5 barn. I am a decendant of Even's brother Christian. A great grandson. If you are related to Even or have information about him I would be interested in sharing. I'm from Wisconsin, USA where Christian and many others in the family relocated.

Re: Even Hansen og Sidsel Olsdatter
Hi Lillian,
I did send Anita a private message on April 26, 2011 and am hoping that it went through okay (being new to your forum.) But, I have not received a return reply (I gave her my name and e-mail address.) Other than through e-mail (through your forum...because I don't know her actual e-mail address) I don't know how to contact her. I'm hoping she is okay and that she will contact me. She may not be monitoring this forum at this time. There's a possibility that if she is looking for information about these particular people that we may be distant relatives. Thanks for your concern and assistance.
Sincerely, Bobby Hanson

Re: Even Hansen og Sidsel Olsdatter
Hi Lillian,
My GGF Christian Hanson (name here) b. 28 April 1854 in Østreng, Østre Gausdal left Christiania on 11 Oct 1895 as Kristian Hansen with his father Hans, wife Pauline and children (one of which was Kristine...my grandmother.) They arrived in the USA on 23 Oct 1895 at Ellis Island, New York, New York and first settled in Scandinavia, Wisconsin prior to moving to west central Wisconsin where he passed away on 6 March 1929 as Christ Hanson. I have a lot more information about Even's brothers and sisters but hopefully this will do for now.

Re: Even Hansen og Sidsel Olsdatter
Hi again Robert.
I belive this is them: http://www.digitalarkivet.no/cgi-win/we ... 12257#ovre and Hans Hansen here: http://www.digitalarkivet.no/cgi-win/we ... 13247#ovre
The reason I asked was that in Christians Christening and confirmation his mothers name is Helene/Heline Olsdatter. Christian is born in Østrengstuen. Even is born 20. january 1847 (FT 1910 has 2 days wrong date- 22/1 1847) and his mother is Eline Olsdatter, but when Even is confirmated he is in Østreng. Have you found Christian in Census 1865 - he is not at home as I can see.

I will send you a PM with some living relatives and photoes from the graveyard I took this morning. I´ve not spoked with them, but can do it if you want me to.

Re: Even Hansen og Sidsel Olsdatter
Lillian,
You are most certainly correct about the people listed in the "Emigranter fra Oslo 1867-1930" records. Those records I had already found. You may not know this, but the Mathea Kristiansen listed above Hans Hansen (Christian and Even's father) is Christian's daughter. The Arnherst, Wis. location is misspelled. It is actually Amherst (I've been there many times), near where three of Christian's brothers (Hans, Anton and Ole) resided. The coincidental thing about the list is that the two men listed below Hans Hansen are headed to La Crosse, Wisconsin where I was born and where I now reside only a short distance from.
As far as Even's mother's name, her birth record shows her born as Ellene Olsdatter, but she was listed during birth records of her children as both Helene and Eline. Her death record has her listed as Eline Olsdatter.
In the 1865 Census Kristian Hansen was listed as #1841 living with Ole Olsen and his wife Randine Nilsdatter on a farm named Seielstad in Gausdal, District #4 at age 12.
Thank you for the confirmation record of Even. That is one I had not found yet.
Again , Lillian, thank you. I really do appreciate your help. Anything you can do is very appreciated and I can't wait to pass along this information to my extended family here in the upper Midwest ( Wisconsin and Minnesota) where so many decendants of Christian eventually settled.
Med vennlig hilsen,
Bobby
