FTM - Merging individuals

I am using Family Tree Maker 2005 and I need assistance with a problem.

I have two ancestors that were brother and sister to each other,
William Jasper Cooper and Malissa Adaline Cooper. William's son
married Malissa's daughter. This means that I need to merge
information concerning them and their parrents so that I'm not
duplicating effort within the software.

However...

When I used the function "People > Merge two specific individuals", all
it did was copy information from one to the other. Also, it did not
merge the children into the same list. So I have one Dillard & Lucinda
with Williams in it and another Dillard & Lucinda with Malissa in it.

I don't really want two records. I would rather have one record with
both children listed. How can I do this?

Merge each person in the family.

look at multiple spouses
and merge them

If you have a "spouselesse relationship"
to eliminate it
rename the non person Zz and when you
People Menu >> merge 2 individuals
the entry will be at the bottom of the list
then uise "End" on the keyboard
