TopOCR

Is anyone in this group familiar with the program "TopOCR" ?

The program will convert a digital camera JPEG to a Word.doc using OCR.

I tried the demo version on a newspaper obit; it worked no better or
no worse than other OCR programs I've used with newsprint. I've always
had more trouble with newsprint than other paper copies.

I took the original photo on "Auto" setting, so the results were on the
dark side. A little "tuning" on the contrast pushed the photo to near
two-tone (B&W), from which the program did reasonably well.

If anyone has tried this program, I'd like hearing from you.
