Freeware Family Tree Chart Software

Legg inn av Susan Moziar » 19 jul 2005 17:37:42

I use PAF as my Family Tree database. I wish to print out a decadency tree
chart (hard copy) for a family re-union. I'm not sure if I unlock the PAF
Companion Software that I will get the chart I want.

Can anyone recommend Freeware software that will produce this chart for me?
I could print it on an inkjet printer on continuous paper if necessary or on
a laser and piece the pages together. I need this in 2 weeks and I don't
want something with huge learning curve.

Thanks.

You could ask them... I don't use mine anymore since moving to a Mac
(and Reunion).

Try Legacy Family Tree - lots of reporting options, also free, also has
an add-on as PAF does with more stuff.

What's wrong with the one you can get out of PAF itself?

Having downloaded Legacy, I found that the basic version does not have the

features I want. I have to purchase the add-on program to print the chart I
want. I'm looking at unlocking PAF Companion Software. I find PAF easy
to use and don't want to have to learn another program at this point.

I own both PAF companion, and the deluxe version of Legacy, both for
reporting options such as you mention. You'll be very happy with PAF
companion, I think. Legacy's pay version is also great, I wouldn't want
to choose one or the other personally. If I still used Windows, I'd
still be using both of them.
