Legacy runtime error 424

Hi List
Have sent email to Legacy but just in case anyone here has had prob
Trying to load Legacy on laptop running Xp Prof and it installed Ok
Now when I go to use it I get language choice box, then it says, runtime
error 424, check printer installation.
Well I don't have a printer installed/
Any ideas?

From experience it is best to have a printer installed otherwise you have
problems with the reports

Suggest you install a printer and see how you go. Any printer will do -

That is the problem. The program must see a printer so it knows how to
format reports. I just installed a generic/text only printer and set it
as my default and legacy starts up just fine. The reports don't look so
good but if you aren't printing them it doesn't matter.

Install the Generic/Text Only printer driver by running the Add
printer wizard. Select File as the printer port. When you want to
print as a text file, select that driver and specify an appropriate file
name.

Many thanks for all the help, yes I had to install a printer to let the
program work.
