Ancestry - new advanced viewer download - want to uninstall

Legg inn av L Covey » 17 mar 2005 02:31:26

A couple of us are upset over this new download we were led to believe
we had to download from Ancestry.

The SAVE capability seems hopeless except if a person emails an image to
himself. I use IE for Ancestry, but have Netscape for my email, so this
is a real pain for me.

I usually print out censuses images. I think I'll be alright, but I
really want to uninstall it. I am computer saavy as far a how to
uninstall, but I cannot find the "program" or plug-in or whatever they
call it.

Anyone know about this? PLEASE!!!

Thanks in advance,

LC

just had it running

a new viewer and a big improvemnt on the old ones

it should be some kind of plug in to the browser

but daft to uninstall it before trying it out
2859 x 2400 Pixels (6.86 MPixels)
16,7 Millions (24 BitsPerPixel)

150 x 150 DPI

saved without problem from the save icon of the plug in

Can you save a portion of a census image or does one have to save the

entire page, which often is too small to read. If so, one is unable to
edit that entire image, right?

I have tried it out and don't like it.

Seems okay to me, saved the image out as a jpeg which is viewable in a
myriad of tools (ifranview is my choice or image viewer)
