I've seen several web resources for genealogy, such as genealogy.com,
ancestry.com and onegreatfamily.com.
They all seem to be quite expensive (around 200$ for the top package).
I'm willing to pay this fee for ONE site, but not for multiples. Does
anyone have any suggestions on which site has the best data?
Also, which (hopefully the same) has the best family tree creation
tools? I'm looking for an extensive tree that will show more than just
direct line of descent -- (ie brothers/sisters, neices/nephews, parents
aunts/uncles, cousins, etc) as well as showing divorced spouses that
had children with family members (along with a designation for this).
I'm leaning towards genealogy.com...
Best web resource?

ancestry owns genealogy.com, so after some times, they will likely

onegreatfamily is merely a set of gedcoms, so depending
on the individual performance, they can be anything or very good
data (the same applies to any similar database). And this kind
of database can't be complete for the mere reason every
genealogist will focus on some specific area/family, etc.
So, to answer your question, ancestry would be the best choice.
If you subscribe from an affiliate site, this site will receive

you has some affiliate link to them.

The trick is finding them.
There are good finding aids out there. You might want to take
a look at:
http://www.cyndislist.com/
and the numerically much larger but much more narrowly focused
(surnames and *American* localities) directory:
http://www.linkpendium.com/
Both directories are free, of course.

Re: Best web resource?
Cyndislist I know of & agree it's worthwhile. I pulled
up linkpendium & could see no place to begin looking.
The nice thing about anc.com is once you get there you
can look at several data files for the annual
subscription.
