Samuel S. Langeland (1856 i Sunnylven, Sunnmøre - 1928 i Seattle) var sønn av Sølfest Langeland (1818-1900) og Ingeborg Larsdatter Brekhus (26.12.1899 i Poulsbo, Kitsap County, Washington).

Samuel Langeland emigrerte til Amerika med sine foreldre i 1866. Familien slo seg ned i Odin, Watonvan County, Minnesota. Familien med sønnene Louis ,Henry Gilbert, Sanktus og Ivar, dro senere vestover og ble farmere på Whidby Island, Washington, mens Samuel Langeland ble sakfører og begynte praksis i Moorhead Minnesota, og flyttet til Seattle i 1890.

Samuel S. Langeland ble den første president i Grand Lodge of sons of Norway på Stillehavskysten, og den første dommer i Leif Erikson Lodge No. 1.
