Christian Johnsen

According to the 1865 census for Stangvik Christian Johnsen is a Husmand med Jord living on the Hunnæs (plads). I have not been able to find that farm in the Stangvik bygdebok, any idea where I might find information about this family?

Stangvik was not listed as a choice - hope this is not out of line.

You will find Hundneset at page 411-415 in Heimar og ætter i Stangvik, vol. I (edition of 1981)

It says there on page 412 that Hundneset was the place for the teacher in Stangvik, and it was the parish priest who owned it. In the bygdebok it is placed under the farm Stangvik Indre.

Christian Johnsen is mentioned on page 413 as Kristen Jonson. And his 6 children is on page 414. Kristen's parents and grandparents is on page 412 and 413.

Kristen's parents was, according to the bygdebok, Jo(n) Jonson who was probably from Heggem in Bøfjorden and Maret Kristensdotter.
His grandparents where Kristen Olson Bø who got the place in 1788 and his wife Mali Halsteinsdotter Sandnes. All according to the book.
