Jeg søker informasjon om emigrasjonen til Lars Olof Nilsen, f. 24/9-1869, Skudum, Lardal, Vestfold.

Hans foreldre er: Anne Gurine Olsdatter, f.19/9-1845, Hannevold, Lardal, Vestfold, og Nils Olsen (Løver), f. 4/4-1842, Goli, Sandsvær, Buskerud.

Familien var bosatt i Lardal, på Nadkim og Løvås, og flere av Lars Olof Nilsen, sine yngre søsken, hadde etternavnet Løver, i tillegg , til Nilsen.

I Ministerialbok II, Lardal prgj., Svarstad sokn 1881-1911, står Ungkar Lars Olof Nilsen, f.1869, han
utflyttet til Amerika i 1892, bosted i 1892 var Nadkim, Lardal.
Jeg har ikke funnet emigrasjonen til Lars Olof Nilsen, har også søkt på Lars Olof Nilsen Løver, og
Lars Olof Løver, - håper noen kan hjelpe meg med å finne ut av dette!

My wife's granduncle, Lars Olaf Nelson (Nilsen) - born 24 Sept 1869 - and his wife Olea, born ca. 1866 - both emigrated to US from Norway.
Does someone have information regarding this family and their posterity?
All we know regarding this family is as following: Lars Olaf left Lardal in Norway 1 Apr.1892. When he died in St. Louis, Minnesota 6 Sept 1924, the home address was given to be 1026-10th ave East, Duluth. The "Certificate of Dead" from Minnesota, listed that he had been a resident of the city for the last 25 years, and the name of the person reporting his death is Hart Nelson.
The Nelson family is listed in the 1900 and 1910 Census' living in Duluth. The Census lists that Lars Olaf and Olea have 5 children total, but only 3 of them are alive in 1910. The name of the living children seems to be Nels Hartwick (born ca. 1896), Oscar A (born ca. 1897) and Margaret (born ca. 1908).
>From the "Registration card from the First World War" we can read that Nels Hartwick Nelson was born 12 July 1895.

Jeg har også funnet Olaf Nelson i Census 1900, og jeg tenkte at han kunne være identisk med "min" Lars Olaf Nilsen, p.g.a navnet og immigrasjonsår, og fordi han var bosatt i Minnesota, det var svært mange nordmenn som bosatte seg i Minnesota.

Men jeg var også litt i tvil fordi det var ikke alt som stemte ut med "min" Lars Olaf Nilsen, bl.a fødselsår, - etter at jeg fikkk disse opplysningene av deg, ser jeg jo at Olaf Nelson = Lars Olaf Nelson!
