Sitter fast i søk etter levende slektninger av min oldemors bror som emigrerte til USA i 1910.

Har kommet så langt at jeg vet han døde rundt 1963 (Gilbert Crosby, som endret navn fra Guldbrand Krosby) Hans kone het Ethel M. Steeel.
De fikk en sønn ved navn Gilbert JR Crosby, gift med Eva Jourden i 21. jul 1972, Carson City Nevada.

Gilbert jr Crosby krigs veteran (f. 1921) døde år 2000. Men jeg finner ikke Eva Jourden, evt. Eva Crosby.. Finner mange som kan være henne, men det stopper opp. Er det mulighet å finne ut om de fikk noe barn? eller om det går ann å søke etter hvor de bodde?

Eva B. Jourden Crosby, 80, of Hector, Arkansas, died Friday, July 15, 2005 at home. She was born January 13, 1925 in Prague, Oklahoma to Harvey and Lola Watkins Sikes. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Milton Jourden and her second husband Gilbert Crosby; a brother, Glen Sikes; two sisters, Geneva Dean and Marie Thomas.


Survivors include Sharon Riley & husband Theron Wayne of Hector, Arkansas., Sheila Martin & husband Jimmy of Longmont, CO., Retha Sue Lucas of Loveland, Colorado; four grandchildren; one brother, Alton Sikes of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one sister, Lena Groover of Konawa, Oklahoma.


Funeral will be at 2:00p.m. Monday, July 18, 2005 at Hector Assembly of God Church with the Reverend Mike Raines officiating. Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Hector, Arkansas by Humphrey Funeral Service of Russellville, Arkansas. Visitation will be 2:00p.m.-4:00p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Ser at det var 4 barnebarn.Det var vel kanskje barn fra Eva sitt første ekteskap som er foreldre til dem.


Evs og Gilbert fikk vel antagelig ingen barn,siden Eva var 47 år da de giftet seg i 1972.

Lena Mae (Sikes) Groover, age 79 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Seminole Care and Rehab Center in Seminole, Oklahoma.

Lena was born on August 7, 1934 in Prague, Oklahoma to Harvey Sikes and Lola D. (Watkins) Sikes. She was the manager for Hilltop Café and for the Steakhouse Restaurant in Konawa and was a member of the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church of Konawa. Lena loved going to garage sales, reading, watching the O.U. Sooners, and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, Kerman Raines of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Nelvin Hudson of Seminole, Oklahoma; two daughters, Ann Havens of Waco, Texas and Jawanna Moore of Konawa; eight grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Lola Sikes; her husband, Jerry Groover; two sons, Frankie and Mike Raines; one grandson, Jacob Raines; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Geneva and Luther Dean, Eva and Gill Crosby, and Marie and George Thomas; and two brothers, Alton Sikes and Glen Sikes.

Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Vamoosa Cemetery. Jimmy Branscum will officiate.

Alton B Sikes

Alton B. Sikes was born on November 8, 1926, in Prague, OK, and departed this life on Thursday, May 4, 2006, in Ardmore, OK, at the age of 79. Alton, the son of Harvey and Lola (Watkins) Sikes, was a resident of Oklahoma City. He served his country during the Korean conflict in the United States Air Force. Alton retired from Tinker Air Force Base and also worked as an auto mechanic. He married Linda McCurry on September 20, 1997, in Choctaw, OK. His parents, one brother, and three sisters preceded Alton in death. Survivors include his wife, Linda, of the home; sons, Alton Sikes,Jr., of Oklahoma City, Mike Sullivan of Chickasha; step-sons, Buddy Wickersham of Oklahoma City, Brent Wickersham of Choctaw; step-daughter, Dana Marsh of McLoud; sister, Lena Groover of Konowa, OK; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
