Bøyfot, ca 1810-1820

We are looking for information on the family of Ola Rasmussen, who was born at the Bøyfot farm 19 July 1817 to Rasmus Olsen and Ane Trondsdtr

We don't have the Frei bygdebøker, and would be interested if to learn if it has anything about the family, which includes two other boys, Trond and Anders.

Ola is said to have emigrated in 1854 and was a soldier in the US Civil War.

Any information would be most welcome!

Takk - De kan skrive på norsk.

Takk, Oddgeir. I will look for that book.

Unfortunately, since I don't live in Norway, I can't open the link that was provided.

Best wishes!

John

Thanks so much! I was able to get all three volumes of the bygdebok at our local library and have found exactly what I was looking for!

Was/is Straumsnes part of Frei? It seems that both were part of Tingvoll.

Takk så mye,

John
