Emigration from Trondheim

Legg inn av dn09189 » 06 aug 2014 17:05:45

I have researched my family over the years and was able to look in the databases for Emigrantprotokoller for Trondheim and Oslo. I can't seem to find them now. I am especially looking for the Trondheim records, now.
Any assistance that could be provided would be appreciated.
Sincerely,
David Vinge

Hei David!
My husband's grandfather emigrated from Trondheim...but we had such difficulty finding the emigration record.
We finally found him (emigration in 1893)...
But just now, I used Kari's link to find the record again.
The reason why he was so difficult to find was that he used the farm name for his etternavn.
I know that is common...to use the farm name...
We never even KNEW he worked on that particular farm..he must have worked there for a very short time.
We knew the other farms he worked on....

My husband's Norwegian cousin found the record by using only: "Lars", and his reisemål (destination), and the fylke!
When the record came up...everything else "fit"!

Lykke til (good luck!)
mvh Patty
