How about the well detested Family Search site of the LDS. Her Ancestral
File no. with them is: JJDN-W9.
If someone is aware of false information on this particular entry of this

Re: where
I recently found a site that *seems* to be excellent and honest in
terms of references and questions. I have not seen it discussed in this
group and would like to hear what the experts think of it. If it is as
good as it appears to my amateur eyes, it has a great deal of
genealogical information on the Bohuns as well as many other families.
The site is:
http://www.stirnet.com/HTML/genie/briti ... ohun01.htm best, Bronwen

It has the usual problem of most genealogical web-sites, that of giving

Compare that sort of approach with the Henry Project on

and then ask which is the more likely to be a reasonable account of the
families concerned.

Re: where
I looked at the site you suggest and realized that I had been there
before. While it has certainly grown, my problem with it is simply that
it only helps when you are looking for the ancestors of Henry II (since
that is the clearly stated intent of the site). The question that began
this thread dealt with the Bohun family, some centuries later. I use
Leo's site frequently (usually one of the first places I go) but my
aging computer navigates it very slowly. I have found the use of as
many sites as I can find (excluding the obviously flaky ones) to be the
most useful thing. For the particular marriage in question, between
Humphrey de Bohun and Elizabeth Plantagenet, the Butler Society might
also be of some help as the Butlers of Ormond and Dunboyne descend from
this marriage.

Try
http://www.stirnet.com/HTML/genie/briti ... bohun1.htm
but note that the "main sources" given are Burke's _Extinct Peerage_ and
CP - apart from the two Bohun tables, both clearly derived "mainly" from
Burke since details on only a minority of the individuals can be found in
CP, there's nothing to inspire any more confidence in the other lineages
from a quick check.
If you are only going to use online material, Leo's Genealogics site is
altogether a very much better resource than this Stirnet families database.
