The info I have is family stuff that my mothers grandmother gave her-I
am not sure how to go about getting "proof"- But what I have checked
out matches so far, I am tring to get in contact with other people

PEYTON was Groom of the Privy-Chamber of
HENRY 8th. His wife, Frances was granddaughter
of Sir Wm. CALTHROPE, thru whom his descendents
claim royal lineage. Sir Henry PEYTON knighted
by King James 1st, was a member of the Virginis
Co. 1610. To him was accorded in 1633, the
use of the PEYTON ARMS. He was the head of the
Virginia PEYTONS and resided at Acquia, West
Moreland County. He claimed a 2nd line of Royal
descent from Edward 3rd, King of England, who had

HALL., temp. HENRY 1st,. Sir Philip PEYTON,
eighth in line joined the Crusaders. Sir Robert
PEYTON was Groom of the Privy-Chamber of
HENRY 8th. His wife, Frances was granddaughter
of Sir Wm. CALTHROPE, thru whom his descendents
claim royal lineage. Sir Henry PEYTON knighted
by King James 1st, was a member of the Virginis
Co. 1610. To him was accorded in 1633, the
use of the PEYTON ARMS. He was the head of the
Virginia PEYTONS and resided at Acquia, West
Moreland County. He claimed a 2nd line of Royal
descent from Edward 3rd, King of England, who had
Prince Thomas PLANTOGENET, who had Ann
PLANTAGENET, who married Wm. BOUCHIER, Earl
of Eufford, and had Sir Wm. BOUCHIER, who had
Sir Fulke BOUCHIER who had John 1st, Earl of
Bath, who had John 2nd , Earl of Bath, who
had Lady Cecelia BOUCHIER, who married Rt.
Hon. Henry PEYTON, who had Robert PEYTON 2nd,
son who had John PEYTON of West Moreland County,
Va., who had Henry PEYTON of Acquia West
Moreland County, Va.

George Brent married Mary Ann, daughter of
Sir John PEYTON, descended from Sir John the
Crusader and was ancestor of Mrs. Anne Eads
Harrison.

before 1679, named his estate "ISELHAM" from
the PEYTON estate in Comb, England.
(Excursion PEYTON 121). His name appears in
North Umberland County records, Oct. 14, 1679-
was an attorney and also Major of Glouster
County Troops 1680. He received 1000 acres
land New Kent County, Va. St. Stephens
Parrish, April 23,1681 - for 20 headrights.
Ld. Bk. VII - 81. He had bought 1000 acres
some place of John Ascough 1680.
