Cross posting and Douglas Richardson
I can see that Douglas Richardson could be right and that more than one group would be interested in his message.
So far so good.
Douglas Richardson, of course, could be so courteous and send the message twice (or however many groups he wants to send it to). In this way everybody would be happy.
No cross posting and no arguments. Simple.
Best wishes

Simultaneous Posting -- Simul-Posting
There is no good reason why Douglas Richardson, or anyone else, should
be put to that extra trouble and waste of time.
He posted to two groups simultaneously. Yes, that's obviously the best
and most efficient way to do it.
Deal with it and quit whining, you whingers.
Whiners and whingers should not expect to be APPEASED just because they
whine, kvetch and wring their hands.
They are worse than small, spoiled children, who think if they just
whine long enough they will get their way.
Wrong!

Bingo!
Quite True....
Thank you, Douglas.
Of course, we should all be careful and DISCIPLINED when we
SIMUL-POST -- and not just do it frivolously and to excess.
You certainly did not do so in your post.
The YAHOOS unfortunately, want to PROHIBIT ALL Simultaneous Posting ----
which is RISIBLE.

Re: Simultaneous Posting -- Simul-Posting
Douglas Richardson you are an inconsiderate wet blanket. Simultaneous
posting? There is nothing wrong with sending the same message to different
groups---I am all for it, IF the different groups have interest in that
message------but the relevance of the one message may be different for one
group than it is for the other. By cross poluting you bring people together
who do not want to be together...........simple. How many flames have you
started by doing this? How many times have you been asked not to do it? But
then, consideration, collegiality have never been one of your strong points.
Obviously, the strain on your finger's muscles is too much to send a
message, retrieve it and change the address and send it again......but then
you would have been courteous, not petty, magnanimously considering other
people, or is that too much to ask?
Free speech? Free speech brings responsibility, you go to a mosque and
start praying loudly a Jewish prayer----you should be able to do that, after
all we have Free Speech!

Free speech? Free speech brings responsibility, you go to a mosque and
start praying loudly a Jewish prayer----you should be able to do that,
after
all we have Free Speech!
In a Christian church, the churchwardens would manhandle you and show you
the door. In a mosque, however, you would probably be lynched...
