Hi,
I have been trying to find a passenger list, emigration list, or "utflyttende" record for this family:
Even Pedersen, born 22 May 1830 in Ulland, Fåberg, Oppland. His wife:
Berthe Christensdatter, born 1837 in Fåberg. Their children:
Annetta, born 28 Jun 1859
Karoline, born ca. 1861
Peder, born ca. 1863
Andreas, born 10 May 1865
All children were born in Engen, Fåberg, Oppland. Here is the family in the 1865 census:
http://digitalarkivet.no/cgi-win/webcen ... =5184#ovre
In 1875 they were living in Houston township, Houston county, Minnesota
They had a son born in Minnesota ca. 1871.
I do not need any information before the 1865 census, or after the 1875 census. All I am looking for is any record of them leaving Fåberg or traveling to America.
Mvh,
Brian

Hi Brian
What sirname did this family use in census 1875? Have you found any of them in census 1900? In this census, immigration year use to be almost correctly given. They must have immigrated before 1871, and after 1865.

Hi Vigdis,
In 1875 and 1885 Even was using the name "Even P. Ulland". I think he was dead before 1900.
There is another "Even P. Ulland". He was born 1842 and left Fåberg in 1869 (unmarried). This is the wrong person! He married in Minnesota and lived in Polk county with his wife Ronnaug.

Even's son, Andrew Ulland, says in the 1900 census that he immigrated in 1869.

In census 1930, it says that he immigrated in 1868.
Then we do have a starting point for our search.
I have looked in the church records from Fåberg to see if I could find them in the emigration list there. But the pastor's "pot-hooks" is not quite so easy to understand.

What about this
http://digitalarkivet.no/cgi-win/webcen ... =1386#ovre
Peder and Andreas is there, but Tobias is a new baby born after census 1865. Anette and Karoline is listed on next page
They leaved on 25th May 1868, hence their arrival should be in June 1868 in Quebeck.

Hi again
This is a link to the emigration records in the Fåberg church book during April and May 1868. But I can not see this family listed here. Do I overlook anything?
Kildeinformasjon: Oppland fylke, Fåberg, Ministerialbok nr. 7 (1868-1878), Inn- og utflyttede 1868-1870, side 503.
Permanent sidelenke: http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?i ... _side=-433
Rest of the May month is on next page, right side.

Hi Vigdis,
Yes, that is them leaving Kristiania! Funny, that they left using "Engen" and arrived using "Ulland". I also looked through the parish records twice - but could ot find them leaving the parish.
Thank you very much for your help!
