The baptism of my GGGrandmother Johanne is here on 20 Jul 1834:
http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:NBN:no-a1 ... 040691.jpg
as number 82 at the bottom of the page.
Another Norwegian researcher has very kindly provided a translation offline of the parents column as 'Anne Nilsdatter ?servant? maid at Torris Olsen's in Fjerdingen. As father stated bachelor ?farmer's son? at Winger Johan Michael Resch'.
In the last column for illegitimate children the translation is 'Stated father by Mrs Ingeborg Haagensdatter and ?breweryworker? at Shou's, Christian Rasmussen ---- illegible'.
I would be greatful if somebody would be able to look a the entry to see if they can also translate the words that were not clear.
Johanne had an older brother and his baptism is here at the Rikshospitalet on 27 Aug 1832.

Is there any information on the parents occupation or place and I see that Torris Olsen is mentioned again - what does it say about him?
Takk for hjelpen

Baptism of Johanne Mathilde Johansdatter, Domkirken 1834

Re: Baptism of Johanne Mathilde Johansdatter, Domkirken 1834
Baptism of Johanne:
Yes she is a Servant maid (or housemaid if you prefere)
The father is not mentioned to be a 'farmers son' but 'garvermester'. Tanner master
Colomn of Remarks:
Opgaven Skede af Konen Ingeborg Haagensdatter, Bryggeriarbeder has Schou, Christian Rasmussens hustrue.
In English (the way I would say it).
Information given by Ingeborg Haagensdatter, The wife of Christian Rasmussen who is Breweryworker at Schou
Baptism of Johan:
The only new information about the parents is that the father at that time was 'Garversvend' which I believe should be 'Tanner journeyman' in english.
Tørris Olsen is a baptism-witness this time.
Best regards
Paul

In the baptism of 1832 Tørris Olsen is titled as "afskediget Jæger" that is retired soldier.
Best wishes

Thank you both so much for your translations. It looks like I should do a little research on Tørris Olsen.
And the brewery as I have an Ingeborg Hagensdatter as Anne's grandmother but with a different husband (2nd perhaps?)
I also received your e-mail thanks Anne so I will be in touch.
Takk skal du ha både for hjelpen

Ingeborg Haagensdatter m. Christian Rassmussen 23 Apr 1825 at Kristiania Domkirken, here is the link:
http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:NBN:no-a1 ... 040426.jpg
number 67, top of the page.
It looks like Tørris Olsen might have been involved again but recorded as Thor Olsen in the first column.
Is this the case?

Re: Baptism of Johanne Mathilde Johansdatter, Domkirken 1834
I don't think that Thor Olsen in the wedding notice is the same person as Tørris Olsen. In the wedding in 1825 Thor Olsen is the owner of a brewery and the employer of Christian Rasmussen. In the notice fram 1832 Tørris Olsen is a retired soldier. It is not veryy likely that these two are the same person.

Thank you Anne for checking the entry for me so quickly. No luck this time but it is sometimes worth following up these little clues.
