Kirkebok, Aker, Oslo, 1802

Anne NILSDATTER, my 3GGrandmother was baptised 21 Nov 1802 in Aker, father Nils PEDERSEN, mother Inger MICHELSDATTER. The entry is here:

http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?i ... _side=-169

I would like to know what the words after Nils name and Inger's name mean.

The sponsors appear to be Maren JENSDATTER from Norg or Nory and two others with the last name Guilbrandsen.

Is Norg or Nory a place name?

Are the other names Jens and Johan or something else?

Som alltid, er jeg takknemlig for hjelpen

Here's how I reaad the entry:

do [i.e. Nov 21] Anne, F Nils Pedersen ved Wøyen bruget, Inger Michelsdr. T Maren Nilsdr, Maren Jensdr, (Karij??) Jensdr, J(??)ren Gulbrandsen

ved = at
Wøyen = Vøyen, a farm in present-day Bærum.
bruget = bruket. A "bruk" is an early industrial site of some kind, for instance for sawing timber. I don't know what kind of "bruk" Vøyenbruket was, but maybe someone with knowledge of Bærum history knows.

This would seem to be the parents in 1801: http://digitalarkivet.uib.no/cgi-win/We ... 52825#ovre

Thank you very much Torrid, that gives me a little more information to research.

The census link is Nils and Inger, they had another three children, including Anne, after 1801.

Here is their marriage:

http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?i ... _side=-258

with very little information unfortunately. Both were single and the witnesses were the same as for another marriage on the same day, same day for banns too.

Forgot to ask  , which parish do you think I should search for baptisms in the Baerum district about 1771 - looking for Nils Pedersen.

I couldn't find Baerum in Digitalarkivet for that period but would it be Asker?

Takk

Darryl

Thank you Torrod, I have a likely candidate in Asker:

Niels born 28 Mar 1771 father Peder Haagensen mother Mallene Haagensdatter

http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?i ... x_side=-22

Half way down on the right hand page.

I can see that father Peder was from Sandvigen but would the words after his name be his occupation or a farm name?

Takknemlig for hjelpen

Hilsen

Darryl
