Re: Help wanted
I would believe that the page you are looking at also have a translation.
If not, you might use Google translate http://translate.google.com/

Re: Help wanted
I do not like google translation engine, as the words given are often not the right ones because of their context. Now I have to translate the words you see in english to add them to the norwegian resources file (I have already translated the ones you see in norwegian). With the screen capture it's easier to see their meanings. So that's why I request for help. Thank you. Francois (my email: francois@arvernes.com)

Re: Help wanted
I'm not sure if you're aware that this forum is in Norwegian, and not Finnish?
Finnish language is very different from Norwegian, so I'm sure you'll get more help if you post on a Finnish forum?

Hello. I'm not sure if you're aware, but there are two official forms of written Norwegian. Based on yoru screenshots and the current translation the one you have used is the most common, bokmål, so I'll use that for the following:
Francois skrev:On the tree view, we have :
Address and Occupation
Address = Adresse
Occupation = Yrke
Francois skrev:On the editor we have:
Summary, Events, Notes, Sources, Additional properties, Nickname, Name Prefix, Name surname prefix, name suffix, Place, Check this box if the event took place, Occupation, Residence
Summary = Oppsummering
Events = Hendelser
Notes = Notater
Sources = Kilder
Additional properties = Andre egenskaper
Nickname = Kallenavn
Name Prefix = Navn prefiks
Name surname prefix = Etternavn prefiks
name suffix = Navn suffiks
Place = Sted
Check this box if the event took place = Kryss av her hvis hendelsen fant sted
Occupation = Yrke
Residence = Bosted
Francois skrev:On the Table view :
Date Syntymä, Place Syntymä, Date Kuolema, Place Syntymä, Spouse in Family, Child in Family, Address-Residence, Country-Address; Age Kuolema, Association, Relationship-Association, Change,
Date = Dato
Place = Sted
Spouse in Family = Ektefelle
Child in Family = Barn
Address-Residence = Bosted
Country-Address = Adresse*
Age = Alder
Association = Forbindelse*
Relationship = Forhold*
Change = Endre
* Not sure about the context here, as these are not shown in the screenshot
Other things to remark:
Use "Død" instead of "Døden". The latter is the definite form and does not read well in this context. I would also consider using "Født" instead of "Fødsel".

Great, thank you. I've updated the software with the words, sentences you translated. I've updated the screen capture. You will see the context for the words you didn't see previously. I've opened the Geo View too. Ancestris Main Windows
