Hemming Vangst daughter, born 1754

Hello,

I need help transcribing a baptism record from

It is for the daughter of Hemming Vangst and Marg Jensdatter, Dom 6 p Trin (Jul 21) 1754.

I'm still learning to read the handwriting and this one is defeating me.

Can anyone help?

Hi Richard.
Could you please supply the url to the page instead of just the .jpg address? It makes it a bit easier to place letters into context, when you can compare them to their use in other names written by the same person. The best practice may be to copy all 3 lines from the info window for your selection - 'Bildeinformasjon', to give the reader a choice from where to look...

This one is a bit "tricky", because there is a name before the name of the child, and that is probably a witness (fadder) for the baptism above (from farm Hammerstad). I think the girl child above has gotten the name after that woman.. Pern./Perne..something like that, probably short for Pernille. Census 1801 shows that Pernille was used very much in the area,- and then it says Hammersd..it must be short for Hammerstad. It seems to be a kind of bracket in front of the name to keep it away from Maria`s baptism. So, removing that name.. :
