Mikkel Monsen, f. ca 1821, Furnes

I am looking for the birth and confirmation records for Mikkel Monsen, who was born about 1821. I have searched both the church records and the Furnes bygdebok, vol 1, but have not had any luck.

The marriage record for Mikkel 1850 Oct 23 (wife is Agnete Andersdtr) says that both he and his wife were born at Jensbakken, and that his father is Mons Larsen.http://digitalarkivet.arkivverket.no/ge ... merknader=

PS ~ There is also a Mikkel Monsen, f. ca 1824 in Vang. He was born at Bækkesveen, father Mons Hansen, and on 1850 Jan 12 married Marthe Torkildsdtr. He and his family are listed in the Vang bygdebok, although there, the date of birth is given as 1821 Dec 4

Yes, this looks like a very good match. One of the Mikkel Monsens died at Slæperud, and I see from Rygh's work that Slæperud was Slebberud in 1669 and Slæbberud later. So this fits in well with the farm for his parents being listed as Sloberud or perhaps Slæberud.
