I am trying to find the location of the former Præsteqværn farm. It is not shown on an 1888 map that I have of the area, although the map shows Anderkvern, Bjerke, Bruvold and Mokvern (from north to south)

The location of the farm is given in Ringsakerboka. Korn og Klasseskille on page 64 as north of Brovold, on the west side of the river, and south of Løkkeværn (also on the west side of the river) as well as Anderkværn, which is east of the river across from Løkkeværn.

I suspect that Præstqværn is now part of Moelv, and I wonder if anyone knows the location and whether there might be some buildings from the old farm still standing.

I understand that one of the buildings of the Bjerke farm is still in Moelv and I think that there is (or was) a postcard showing the building.

It appears that Bjerke and Præsteqværn were very close to each other and one might have been a subfarm of the other.

There is a book called "Norske gardsbruk". In the volume from Hedmark I have found the farm Løkkekværn, but not the farm Præsteqværn (or other spellings of this name).

The owner of Løkkekværn has Prestkværn as surname.

In "Moelvboka" I found a map showing Prestkværn; and also Prestkværnhagen and Nedre Prestkværn.
Bjørke (probably another spelling of Bjerke) is the neighbor farm.

This map from the Moelvboka is just great!

Interestingly, my ancestors came from the Bjerke farm, while the lag member had her ancestors come from the Prestkvern farm and they touch each other!
