I cannot find any information about my great grandmother, Anna Olsen, born in 1869, married to Hans Berntsen from Stange, Hedmark. He was born in 1863, on a farm called Raa Nordre. I have the Stange bygdebok, but cannot decipher that it tells when they were married. I do know that he sold the farm sometime before 1900, then moved into Oslo into Sagene, their address was listed as 1 Kingos Gade in the 1901 census, with children born to them:
Hilmar
Eugen
Ruth
Einar.
I would like to know of their wedding date and location, so that I may research further into my great grandmother, Anna. I do have an obituary from a Norwegian paper that says her mother died at 88 yr old, but does not say what year. Her name was Elen Marie Enersen. Elen also had listed a son listed in the obituary by the name of Martin Adresen. My great grandmother, Anna, was listed in the obituary as married to Hans Berntsen, and that they were already in the USA-telling me that Elen's death had to be some time after 1903-that is when Anna came to America through Quebec. Anna's husband, Hans, from every hand-written account I have been able to obtain, came to America the year before Anna and the children, but I have not been able to confirm that. The ship's manifest documents that Anna was coming to America to meet her husband, Hans, in St. Paul, Minnesota, on Edgerton St. These are facts I have been able to obtain so far, but would truly love to get more information on Anna. If you can help me in any way, I would truly and dearly appreciate it. Thank you in advance for your consideration.

May be your questions should have been posted under Hedmark county (if the family had their origin there)? Anyway, I would suggest that you change the title of this thread (your e-mail-address migh be a little confusing).
