Is "Just" a first name or part of a title?

Hei ~

Recently, a medical doctor of Norwegian origin (but living in the US in
the late 1800's) was referred to as "Dr. Just Christian Grönvold".

Is "Just" a first name, or is it part of a title, perhaps describing
something about his degree as a doctor?

Thanks much,

Hi John

That's a given-name and it's no different than names like Justin, Justus,
Justis etc.

The name Just is not the same as the English word of same spelling.
My wife's uncle had Just as his given first name.
FYI: It is *not* pronounced the same way as an English speaking person
would do.

His name sounds wonderful in English. A Just and Christian Doctor :)

The answer is that Just is NOT part of a title but that it is both a first name and a family name (surname).
