I have not been able to access ancestry.com Or any other country
extension - nor rootswebcom - for several days. Is it just me? All
other sites seem fine

I've been using Ancestry, although it seems very slow and I have to try to
load images more than once to get them to come up.

Try clearing your cache, and delete cookies related to the site.
