Re: PhpGedView v4 (final) released
OK I see it now Paul, but are they trying to keep it secret? There's nothing
on the summary page at http://sourceforge.net/projects/phpgedview/ and the
news definitely hasn't filtered through to http://www.phpgedview.net/ yet.
Anyway. I've been hanging off until it was out of beta so I'm off to
download.

Re: PhpGedView v4 (final) released
Paul
Bit the bullet over the weekend and kind of wished I hadn't now.
Ftp'd all the files up to my site OK. Got rid of some initial error messages
by moving the DB directory back to under includes.
When I point my browser at upgrade33-40.php nothing happens, no error
messages either. I've got a PhpGedView banner at the top of the page which
has the Login & Home Page links, etc. the rest of the page is blank.
Any suggestions gratefully received.

The two folders (DB and SOAP) should be in the root directory of PGV,
not moved to ./includes.
I assume you have a(n empty) database all set up and rearin' to go?
If you can, I would be inclined to do a new install from the ground up.
I tried your trick once, and never again. Make 4.0 the start of a new
stream of use.
You can save your media folder and reuse it, and you can also recapture
your user list, so that lessens the work a bit.
Have you linked into the help forum?
http://sourceforge.net/forum/?group_id=55456 will get you there. A lot
of experience available.

Re: PhpGedView v4 (final) released
Thanks for the advice Paul, I now have a functioning website once again.
Still have a couple of minor issues which I might post on the SourceForge
forums.
Cheers, Jerry
