Hi Phil
I suspect from what you say that the "lines" are on the "paper" ... I reckon
that the info in the PDF file is an Image therefore you need to extract the
Image and save as a JPEG or similar type of file

version of acrobat. When you use select all, all you are selecting is
the text in a pure ascii form. If you paste this into Word (or Open
Office, a free program) you can then re-format it to look like the
original. If you use Adobe V6 you can just select file>save as text,
then open it in your favorite word processor to re-format.

The only way I know how to do this directly is to purchase the full
version of acrobat. When you use select all, all you are selecting is
the text in a pure ascii form. If you paste this into Word (or Open
Office, a free program) you can then re-format it to look like the

And what about the free Ghostwrite utilities ? One of them
is a PDF2PS that converts to postscript, and another PS2ASCII
that converts to plain ASCII.
I wonder if OOo or some other Windows software can read a PS
file and keep the format (the question was posted with OE).
