Before you start:

This is a new service from The Digital Archives, offering you browsing
and presentation of digitised parish registers (as images). It is an
extension of the already established service from 1998 that offers you
searchable databases of transcribed sources.

* Each selection in the search boxes to the left in the window are
activated by clicking the adjacent [>]-button or the [Submit]-button
below the search boxes. If "Javascript" is enabled in your internet
browser, there will be an automatic update and unecessary to click
these buttons. Also, with "Javascript" enabled, these buttons will
disappear after the first selection.
* Selecting a county will activate a submenu where you can choose a
parish/local parish/congregation etc. in that county.
* Selecting a type of register will activate a submenu where you
can choose a type of records within the register (baptism records,
marriage records, etc.).
* Please avoid the Back-button of the internet browser. Instead,
use the navigation buttons that this service provides you: [Clear], [My
selection] and [Contents page]
* The digitised parish registers must be approached as original
protocols or microfilms: One needs to look for the information by
browsing. It is not possible to search for a person in the digitised
material.
