I can't answere your first question, but the second one I can. She is called wife at her burial, which means that she's still married and her husband lives. The proof is here from the 1900-census: Hans O. Bjørndalen. Marie is probably the same girl that is called Anne Marie and is 1 year old in the 1865-census.

Hello :)

Marriage here, right side no. 21, Hans Olsen Bjørndalen and Rønnaug Olsdatter : http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?i ... _side=-278

It`s spelling mistake in 1865 census.
