An opinion re:1801 census and missing person

We have come across a situation where we have found the baptism of a boy at the Fiældsveen farm in 1793, his confirmation at the Fjeldet farm in 1809 and his marriage with the same farm name in 1818, but, he cannot be found in the 1801 census for Elverum, although his parents are at the Fieldet farm with a number of other children. Our reading of the 1921 bygdebok for Elverum suggest that the Fiældsveen farm is a sub-farm of Fjeldet/Fieldet.

We wonder if this is just an error of the 1801 census (we looked at the actual ledger after seeing that the child is missing in the transcribed versions), or, if he may have been living outside of Elverum. He would have been 8 years old and children both older and younger than him were at the Fjeldet farm with his parents. (We have not searched the out- and in-migration records).

Any thoughts would be welcome -- should we view this as an error in the census or explore other possibilities?
