Jeg prøver å forstå datoene for noen oppføringer. Jeg ser på Aasnes første søndag i ______. Hva er ordet som følger?

what is Festo Michael? Datoen har blitt oversatt av hvem indeksert denne posten i Family Search, men jeg ønsker å forstå hva ferie er.

1. Your link does not work. Please make the link in the same way as you did in your 3. question.

2. Festo Michael is equal to Mikkelsmesse. (allways september the 29. ) With "Ferie" means a day-in-the-week.
Feria 1. is Sunday
Here is a link to some expressions http://home.online.no/~ernstsen/ordforklaring.htm

3. 3. Søndag efter Paaske (3. sunday past Easter)

Paul

From the Book linked to:
1st Søndag i Faste.

"Faste(n)" is the six last week before Easter. I'm not quite sure, but I think the english word is Lent. Maybe I'm wrong.

Thanks! The English word is Lent and when I looked up the Norwegian word, it was lånte.
That made me think this was not Lent. :P

That was the reason who made me say that I was not sure. The norwegian word "lånte" can be translated as "lent" or "borrowed". :P
According to the same dictionary "faste" could mean "fast" or "Lent".

Sometimes very funny sentences may occur.
