10. Ole PEDERSEN (father of Pernille Olsdatter Helgeby) was born before 1746 in Nes, Hedmark, Norway. He was not married to Mari OLSDATTER STERUD-EIE. (no real information known other than the name from two children’s birth records—both born out of wedlock)

11. Mari OLSDATTER STERUD-EIE (mother of Pernille Olsdatter Helgeby) was born 1750 in Søndre Sterud-eie, Nes, Hedmark, Norway and was christened 19 Jul 1750 in Nes, Hedmark, Norway. She died 1813 in Helgeby, Nes, Hedemark, Norway and was buried 2 Apr 1813 in Helgeby, Nes, Hedemark, Norway. She has two children Pernille Olsdatter and Gulbrand Olsen (dpt 4 Feb 1787), both are born out of wedlock with father Ole Pedersen. Baptismal Record: Nes, Hedmark 1750 (p. 372) same day (Jul 19)is baptized Ole Siversens Sondre Sterud and wife Siri Larsdatter legitimate(in marriage) child named Mari. Census: In the 1801 Census, both Mari Olsdatter and her son Gulbrand Olsen are living on the farm Purechiestad in Nes, Hedmark.

12. Erik THORSEN (father of Peder Erichsen Bøvolden Lyserud) was born about 1725. He married Kari PEDERSDATTER. Unsure of parents: possibly the son of Thor (Tor) Hansen who is baptized on Jan. 6, 1725 in Nes, Hedmark, Norway. (Nes kirkeboker, 1663-1784, p. 160.)
Erik and Kari have two known children: Peder Eriksen (Erichsen) Lyserud and Lisbet Eriksdatter. Have not found documentation, but believe that this is Lisbeth Eriksdatter who married Lars Larsen Balstad.

13. Kari PEDERSDATTER (mother of Peder Erichsen Bøvolden Lyserud). No information on parents, etc. Likely living on Bøvolden (Bevolden), Nes, Norway during the 1801 census. Notes that Kari Pedersdatter is married for the third time.

14. Arne NIELSEN LODVIK-EIE KISE (father of Dorthe Arnesdatter Kise) was born 1736 in Prestruud, Nes, Hedmark, Norway and was christened 15 Apr 1736 in Nes, Hedmark, Norway. He died Mar 1806 in Kise-eie, Nes, Hedmark, Norway and was buried 26 Mar 1806 in Nes, Hedmark, Norway. Arne married Karen OTTERSDATTER KISE on 1763 in Kise, Nes, Hedmark, Norway. 28. Niels INGVALDSEN PRESTRUD (father of Arne Nielsen Lodvik-eie Kise) was born 1713. He died 1744 in Helgøya, Hedmark, Norway. Niels married Anne HÅKONSDATTER RØRÅSEN.
This family connection is still to be determined and at this point is based on an educated guess.
Nils Ingvaldsen Prestrud was baptized in 1713 and died in 1744. He had gotten the farm from his father Ingvald Arnesen. The four children of Nils and his wife Anne Haakonsdatter Roraasen were 1) Arne (listed as baptized in 1736) 2) Haakon baptized in 1737 3) Peder baptized in 1740 and 4) Ingvald baptized in 1742.
Educated guess: We see that the son Peder (of Niels and Anne) was on Lodvik-eie about the same time that our ancestor Arne was on Lodvik-eie and had a child there (Nils). We also see that both Peder and Arne were on Kjelsrud-eie at the same time (where another of Arne's children was born). Additionally, there are other cousins who would be on the farm at this point in time.
We also know that Anne Haakonsdatter (the mother) is on Kjelsrud at the same time as Peder and Arne...so assume that she moved in with one of her children after her husband's death.
Finally, the second datter of Arne and Kari is named Anne. The first son had been named Nils. It is very likely that they were carrying out a traditional naming pattern after grandparents.

29. Anne HÅKONSDATTER RØRÅSEN (father of Arne Nielsen Lodvik-eie Kise) was born 1718 in Røråsen, Nes, Hedmark, Norway and was christened 10 Apr 1718 in Nes, Hedmark, Norway. She died before 1744.

Hi Brad,

I have ancestors who lived on Helgøya and a quick scan through your extensive list I find one of my direct ancestor. Your #16 Ole Olsen Hovinsholm, and his wife Guri, are my ancestors, 7 (?) generations back, on my mother's line. From Ole and Guri my line goes through their son Peder Olsen, b. 1764.

There may be further names on your list, will check more tomorrow.

I am the genealogist for the Nord Hedmark og Hedemarken Lag and in helping one of our members, found that she also has Halvor Torgersen Vestad in her ancestry as you do (#128).

But, I can't find a listing in the Nes bygdebøker for the Vestad farm, and it looks like you had not been able to find this either.

By any chance, have you found a listing anywhere for the Vestad farm?

In the 2010 bygdebok for the Ringsaker hovedsogn and Reflingfjerdingen district, as part of the write up of the Tjerne farm, there is some interesting information on Ole Jonsen, f ca 1665 at Fjerdrum in Østre Gausdal, his two marriages and the daughter Boel Olsdtr and her marriage as well as references to her descendants. I have made 3 snippets of the text and attached them to this posting.

Perhaps you have seen all of this before, but if not, I hope that you find it useful.
