Immigration of Gulbrand Børresen og family, 1880

We are trying to find out what ship and what port was used in the immigration of Guldbrand Børresen and his family in 1880.

The family lived at Engeskaug and Ødemyrsmoen (Ymyrsøgarden) in Nes, and left Kristiania on the ship Angelo on 14 mai 1880. We believe that they then went to Liverpool, but we don't know where they went after that, expect that they eventually lived in Minnesota in the US. We have not found them in the records of arriving at New York.

If anyone can help us find the ship used to cross the ocean and the North American port that they arrived in, that would be most helpful.

Og, de kan skrive på norsk.

Takk!

John Reindl

PS ~ Also, if anyone is keeping information to update the Nes bygdebøker, we can add some information to vol 2, del 3, page 850, where it reads "Det finnes ikke spor av denne familien etter 1878."

Hi John,

Your Børresen family arrived in Quebec on 1 Jun 1880 aboard the "S.S. Peruvian".

I assume you use ancestry.com, so here is a link to the passenger list,
page 3, #159:
