Married (1) Johanne Sofie Berg
Children -- Olga Marie 1877,Signe Augusta 1879, Faste 1882, Axel 1885.
Married (2)-- Laura ?
Children -- Aslaug 1896, Dagny 1899, Edel 1900, Alfred 1902, Fritz 1903,Anker 1906.
The 1911 UK census enabled me ,for the first time, to find my mother`s birth name
as Lucie Augusta Dahl daughter of the above Signe Augusta Dahl.
Signe appears in the1900 Norwegian census. The only other information I have is
that she gave birth to my mother in London in 1904 and died in 1906 in Christchurch UK.
Are there any descendants or others out there that could help me find when she came to
England, where she went and what she did?
Any information would be most appreciated.

Re: Andreas Isaksen Dahl Hatmaker Trondeim 1842/1927
Hi Michael!
I'm not any descendant of the Dahl/Berg in your posting, but I will try to help you a little bit anyway (more or less about the question mark after Laura though).
As you said, in the 1900 norwegian census we find your grandmother Signe Augusta still in Trondheim (Jomfrugaden 17/Virgin Street 17) with her father Andreas and her stepmother Laura Thoresen (born 1874, 5 years older than Signe…) and some of her full and half siblings.
Furthermore, we find the baptism of your grandmother Signe Augusta in the Church register for Trondheim/Vår Frue ("Notre Dame") 1873-1879, no.96/p.150. The details may be easier to read on this page here.
Aslaug Lucie (born 1896) is baptised in the Trondheim Cathedral (Nidarosdomen), no.27/p.58, while all the 7 remaining of Signe Augusta’s half siblings - the children of Andreas and Laura - are listed here showing their baptism. Click on the child’s name and registered details will show, and then on that page you may click on the (linked) number in the column marked “Side”(=”page”) and you will get the actual baptism in the Church register: - Valborg, - Dagny, - Edel Lydia, - Alfred, - Frits, - Anker Backer, - Anker
Note that the two first children (Aslaug Lucie and Valborg) are born with the parents still not married (“pike”=”girl”), but in 1899 at Dagny’s baptism Laura is finally “hustru”(=”wife”). I’m sorry, but I’ve not been able to find Andreas and Laura’s marriage (which must have been in late 1897 or in 1898), but Laura’s baptism is here in the Church register for Mosvik/Nord-Trøndelag, 1870-1883, no.20/p.18: "Laura Ovidie, born 25 April 1874, bapt. 31 May 1874. (Uægte=parents not married) Parents: Girl Emilie Olsdtr Svean, Bachelor Ludvig Emil Thoresen of/from Fredrikshald (now: Halden)"
This was not quite what you asked for, but hopefully someone else can assist you more on the whereabouts of your grandmother Signe Augusta after 1900.
Best regards, Roy
(I hope my "translations" did not offend anyone)
