I am looking for the Norwegian roots of this family:

Cornelius Norum, born Feb 1859 in Norway, went to America 1882
Christina Norum, born Mar 1860 in Norway, went to America 1884
Petra Norum, born 1883 in Norway, went to America in 1884

The family is in Chicago in 1900.

In cencus 1865 I found Maren Dybdal, 6 year, living in Trondheim with her mother and brothers. That is the only one in Norway with that name in 1865.

It seems that they Kornelius and maren get married in Norway, he vent to US in 1882, Maren get pregnent before he left, Petra born 1883 and they came over in 1884.

In which way Christina is in family with them I don't know.

Here we can read that Cornelius and Maren was unmarried whwn Petra was born, and that Cornelius was in USA

So they must have get married in USA after they came over .

With Petras bapth. her mother is named Maren Kristine Dybdal - so Maren and Krisine /Christine / Christnia is the same person.
