Dahl Andreas Danielsen, f. 1866

Re: Dahl Andreas Danielsen, f. 1866
Thanks, Margit.
Later on tonight I found a remark in the Steigen Church records where Wisconsin is said to be the final destination for Dahl Andreas.
A sister of Dahl Andreas, Ingeborg Danielsen, born 2 June 1872, went to Escanaba, Wisconsin in 1892. Another brother, Andreas Danielsen, born 22 Feb 1870, went to Michigan in 1889. And their cousin, Adolf Everin Jensen, born 25 Feb 1873, also went to Escanaba, Wisconsin in 1901.
So I wonder, could we find anyone of these people in Wisconsin (or Michigan) around 1890-1910? Any help will be appreciated.

Hei Erling!
Just a quick note. Escanaba is in Delta county, Michigan, not Wisconsin. I looked a bit for the people you mentioned...no luck yet!

Hei Erling,
I searched this morning for quite awhile and came up with only what I sent. I suspect perhaps they went to Canada? unless you know they were in the United States for a fact?
You could do some checking here in this database, it is free.
http://www.ourroots.ca/e/
I am busy with visitors again for awhile.
I can check later for you.
Is there any farm associated with this family?

Re: Dahl Andreas Danielsen, f. 1866
Thanks to Patty and Margit.
If you look on another search on this page, regarding Adolf Everin Jensen, you will see that Adolf certainly went to Escanaba in 1901, and that he went to a cousin called Danielsen. So some of these people must have been there for a while, and since Ingeborg had Escanaba as destination in 1892, I thought the 1900 census could give an answer.
Margit, I have no information about connection to a farm in the area. Thanks for the link to the Canadian database. I will certainly look into it.

Hei igjen Erling!
Yes, I saw your other entry...I don't understand why we can't find any Danielson(sen) or Jenson(sen) family in Escanaba in the 1900 census...
I tried different ways of searching...even searched for someone with just the first name Adolph(Adolf)...not using any last name....nothing seemed to fit...even in 1910....

Re: Dahl Andreas Danielsen, f. 1866
Some additional information, that might be relevant:
A sister of the Danielson's were married in Norway, in Borge in Lofoten. Two of her sons emigrated to USA. Their tickets were paid in America, indicating that they could have gone to relatives, and maybe their aunt or their uncles? The brothers were:
Emil Olaf Erikson, born 9 Feb 1892, emigrated from Trondheim 11 Aug 1909, destination New York.
Daniel Severin Arnfred Erikson, born 1 Aug 1894, emigrated from Trondheim 7 May 1913, destination Boston, Mass.

Re: Dahl Andreas Danielsen, f. 1866
Hvilke bosteder (gårder) hadde Dahl i Norge? Han kan ha tatt navn etter en gård som han hadde tilknytning til.
Hva het foreldrene hans? Og hva er hans fødselsdato?

Thanks a lot to both Hanne Line and Margit.
It seems obvious from all the sources that several family members stayd in Escanaba for many years. It has been a lot of information, so I will try to summarize the most important facts:
Start with the sons of the oldest sister, Kristianne (Christine) and her husband Theodor Eriksen:
1. Emil Olaf Karsten Erickson:

- Emigrated 11. Aug 1909 destination New York. Ticket paid in America.
- Married to Tillie E Karterud (born 1893) on 4 May 1916 in Delta, Michigan

Re: Dahl Andreas Danielsen, f. 1866
I manifestet når Adolf reiser til USA, står det at han skal til fetter Danielsen. Kan det være Marelius det står foran Danielsen?

Re: Dahl Andreas Danielsen, f. 1866
Hei igjen, Hanne Line,
Erling
