Marlene L. Scheurell, age 92, of Delavan, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2015, at RidgeStone Village in Delavan. She was born in Delavan, on July 21, 1922, to Gothard “Jack” and Jessie (Petersen) Lerwick. Marlene was united in marriage to James W. Scheurell on Oct. 8, 1949, in Delavan. James passed away on Oct. 4, 1992. Marlene worked for 26 years at Delavan-Darien High School as a Home Economics Teacher. She enjoyed knitting, cooking, volunteering, playing bridge and piano.

Marlene is survived by her four children: Michelle Scheurell of San Diego, CA, Genell (Timothy Bateman) Scheurell of Glen Ellyn, IL, Jim (Sherry Madison) Scheurell of Delavan, and Joe (Lynn Richardson) Scheurell of Delavan; six grandchildren: Joey Torkelson, Tiffany (Cole) Kruizenga, Jim (Tim Ehrenberg) Scheurell, Patrick Scheurell, Alex Scheurell, and Mack Scheurell; and five great-grandchildren. Marlene was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Thomas and James; a brother, Cork; and a sister, Eleanor.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at ST. ANDREW'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 714 E. Walworth Ave. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at the CHURCH. Burial will take place at St. Andrew's Cemetery in Delavan. Eleanor L. Reed, age 87, of Delavan, WI, passed away Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014, at Beloit Health and Rehabilitation in Beloit, WI. She was born on Feb. 24, 1927, the daughter of Gotthard "Jack" and Jessie (Peterson) Lerwick. Eleanor was a member of the First Baptist Church in Delavan, WI. She was active in the Founders and First President of Elkhorn Junior Women's Club and Elkhorn Women's Club. With a lifetime interest in music, she was active in the church and community choirs and orchestras.

Eleanor is survived by her four children: Mark Reed, Susan Moore, John Reed and Rodney Reed; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her sister, Marlene Scheurell; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in passing by her parents and her brother, John.
