Familie fra Tjomsaas til USA i 1849

Jeg søker informasjon om slektninger som emigrerte til USA i april 1849.
Familieforholdene er følgende:
Gunnu Gunnusen Tjomsaas (1789-1840) gift med Herbor Baardsdtr. Gunstved (1796-) holdt til på Tjomsaas i Hægeland. De mistet garden etter Gunnus død.
Barna er født i Hægeland (Øvrebø):
-Gunnu (1816-1845) g. m. Berthe Olsdtr. Espeland (1814-). De holdt til i Finsland (Bjelland), og fikk én sønn, Gunnuf (1845-). Etter Gunnus død i 1845, holdt de til i Hagen under garden Finsland.
-Ranni (1819-) g. m. Hans Sørensen (1814-) fra Aasen/Flesskaasen i Finsland. De holdt til i Oddernes og fikk to barn der, Anne (1846-) og Gunder (1848-).
-Baard (1825-1871). Han flyttet til Finsland, og giftet seg ikke før i 1865, Bjelland. Baar ble i Norge.
-Anne Severine (1831-). Konfirmert i Finsland 1845.
-Christjer (1836-1930).

I USA har jeg kun funnet igjen Christjer, da som Christian Thompson i Wisconsin. Han forekommer jevnt i folketellingene der fra 1870 til sin død i 1930.

Det kan se ut til at Anne Severine Gunnusdtr., Berthe Olsdtr. og sønnen Gunnuf reiste fra Christiansand med "Frithjof", og ankom New York 6.6.1849. Etter dette har jeg ikke funnet spor etter dem.

Hvordan tok de andre seg over til Amerika? Hvor ble de av? Jeg setter stor pris på all hjelp til å finne ut hva som skjedde med familien!

I have the book "Norwegian Immigrants to the United States" A Biographical Directory Volume 4 1849 by Gerhard B. Naeseth and Blaine Hedberg. I found the following:

Looks like they did not find anymore information than below. They came over on The Frithjof which sailed from Kragerø, Telemark on May 26, 1849 and arrived in New York on July 6, 1849. Captain Jensen.

I guess this means they arrived safely in New York? But where is Berthe Olsdtr. and Gunnuf?
It looks to me as if Anne and Christjer have numbers 1020, while the other’s numbers are higher. What does that mean? Didn’t they come together?
Is it possible to find out what happened to them? I have imagined that they would keep together in America, and so perhaps they all went to Wisconsin?

This appears to be a plausible match for your Bertha and son Gunnuf in the 1850: You should check them out. You should ask descendants of Christian Thompson also if they live in Wisconsin.

They seem very plausible, thank you!
It looks as if they`re in the same household as the two previous persons, Orande and Guner, which could possibly be Ranni and her son Gunnu (their ages match!). If so, both Hans and Anne must be deceased in 1849/1850. Is it possible to verify this?
I can`t find Berthe, Ranni or their sons in later censuses. Are there other sources that can help confirm their identity?
Christian, Severine and Herborg must be elsewhere in the 1850 census.
