Hei!
Erik Nilsen Buer (f. 1842) fra Skjeberg reiste på 1860-tallet(?) til St.Paul, Minnesota og ble til Eric Nelson. Der traff han Tina Larsdatter Vold (f.1855) med aner fra Grue. De fikk sønnene William Edvin (1881) og Robert Marvin (1885).
Robert ble (antagelig) gift med Daphne Brown og fikk døtrene Dorothy (1917), Daphne (1921) og Barbara (1926). Disse døtrene finner jeg ikke flere opplysninger om.

Jeg finner heller ikke mer om William enn at han bodde hos foreldrene i år 1900, deretter ingenting.
Eric og Tina er muligens gravlagt i Iowa (Tinas hjemsted), men er usikkert.

Har ved DNA-test påvist flere 4-5-6 menninger i USA uten å ha funnet noen tråder, men familien Nelson er et mulig utgangspunkt.

Thank you very much for you information, and sorry for my late responding. As you know we have something called May17th over here..............
Yes, I am looking for living relatives in the US as I`ve got matches in a DNA testing (MyHeritage, please have look). And the only reason I can find is this Eric Nelson guy who was a brother of my great grand mother. So far, I have this 3 sisters Barbara, Daphne and Dorothy, the latter probably being the mother of Diane Richmond (my second cousin). If she is alive or not, I don`t know. That`s where I am standing.

IF that is the correct Dorothy Nelson Richmond buried in Rhode Island...looks like James is not buried there...(have not found out yet where he is buried)
But I think this is Dorothy and James on a trip to Bermuda in 1939.

Interesting this record says James was b. in Laurel Mississippi (the 1940 census says he was b in Alabama...I would think that Mississippi would be correct)

Thanks Patty. Yes, it looks like this is the right Richmonds. The persons I now am wondering about are Diane Richmond (b.1939, any siblings?), the sisters Barbara (b.1925) and Daphne Nelson (b.1921), and William Edwin Nelson (b.1881, probably died young)

Thanks again, this is exciting. The funny thing is, when new information is coming in, more questions are turning up.
The new things for me now, are: Why is Barbara called McKee? And how do we know that Barbara Coffin is the same person as Barbara Nelson (McKee?), even if she made a journey with Robert and Daphne?
Barbaras grandfather was George M. Brown. Perhaps M. is for McKee?
Was Barbaras sister Daphne unmarried?

Birth for Eric given as July 1841...of course that can be an error.
Has his Norwegian emigration record been found yet? (emigration is 1866 according to this census and THIS Eric)
