Martin og Ida Hansen født 1875 og 1878, hvor ble de av?

Hei,

Jeg har kopiert denne meldingen fra "Andre land-ukjent" da det har dukket opp noen opplysninger som gjør at jeg tror kanskje de er i USA likevel.

I en bildeserie som ble lagt ut om Lofoten har en Amerikaner ved navn Bill Hansen skrevet at han er etterkommer av Magnus Hansen fra Vågan som emigrerte allerede i 1890. Han skriver at Magnus er sønn av Hans C. Andreassen og Adrianna Johannesdatter og ber om at ev. slekt må ta kontakt. (Denne ble lagt ut i 1997 og desverre er hans mailadresse ikke lenger aktiv). Dette er Martin's famile.
I tillegg finner jeg både Magnus Hansen og "min" Ida Moe i et privat familietre på ancestry.com. Eieren av dette treet heter også Hansen, men han har desverre ikke svart på min henvendelse.





Er det noen som kan hjelpe?

Ida og Martin reiste med barn og Martins Søsken til USA i 1905/06. Martin adresse var, O Hall, 843 E 141 St, New York.
Hverken i US Census 1910, 20 eller 1930 finnes det noe spor etter dem. Margit Nysetvold Bakke har søkt og mener de må ha reist til et annet land.

Grandpa - Magnus Bernhard Hansen - born 13 August 1870, Vagan - was the son of Hans Christian Andreassen of Flakstad and Adrianna Christine Johannesdatter of Vik, Bronnoy...he emigrated to the US about 1890. Alice Paulina Shoop

Alice Paulina Shoop, a resident of High Point Village in Enumclaw and formerly of
Milton, passed away in Enumclaw on February 26th, 2005. Alice was born on February
6th, 1910 in Spring Valley, WA to Magnus Hansen and Betty Olson Hansen. She
attended the old Harding School, then rode the interurban to Tacoma, where she
graduated from Lincoln High School and attended College of Puget Sound (now
U.P.S.). Alice enjoyed working in her yard, crossword puzzles, and the Mariners. She
was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil in 1976; step-son Jesse in 2002, her
parents, brothers Harold, Walter, Martin and Edward Hansen. She is the loving mother
of
Don (Merrille) of Port Orchard,
Gloria (Bob) Nalley of Enumclaw,
Jim (Kathy) Shoop of Bow,
daughter-in-law Pearl Shoop of South Bend, Oregon.
Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Scott (Rhonda and Katarina) Nalley, Stacia (Tim and Austin)
Speck, Samuel and Joseph Shoop step-grandson Clifford Wilson. Funeral Services will
be held at Weeks# Dryer in Tacoma, Thursday, March 3, at 1:00 PM with burial to
follow at Old Tacoma Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to your favorite

Edward A. Hansen, Jr.

Edward "Ed" Hansen Jr. joined hands with the Lord on Jan. 24, 2000.
He was born on Feb. 23, 1925 in Tacoma, WA to Edward and Ethel
Hansen. He grew up with sisters Margie, Bea, Carla, and brothers Bill,
Steve, Robert and Hillery. Ed served as a plane captain aboard the
escort carrier "Steamer Bay", and saw action in the Philippines and at
Okinawa during WWII. Soon after "VJ" Day he met and married his
loving wife of 53 years, Cecilia. He continued to serve his country for
30 years as a civil service electrician at Madigan and Ft. Lewis. After
retirement, Ed and Cecilia enjoyed living over 20 years together at
Clearwood in Thurston County. He was preceded in death by sister
Beatrice and son James. Ed is survived by wife Cecilia,
sons Mike (Jan) and
Charlie (Susie),
daughter BJ,
daughter-in-law Caryn and 6 grandchildren, Ed, Amanda, Matt, Alex, Joseph and Andy. Viewing Friday, Jan. 28 from 1-9 PM at Mt. View Funeral Home. Graveside

When I asked him about Ida and Martin, he knew about them but said they had changed the name to Ida and John Stranz, Strand, Grand and Andreason.(???)

Does the death certificates means that they were not married (except Anna) and that it is unlikely that I will find any living descendants?

Hei Roger!! No apology needed. We were ALL new at this at one time! I just have not had time, it is our day to honor our fallen soldiers who fought for freedom for all and I have been busy helping the elderly.
No, the death certificates do not mean that. I send you the marriages I found. Not 100% sure on Alfred and Harold, but Anna did marry Hansen.
