can anyone help me with information on johan andresen and his move to america

johan andreasen was born 11 february 1844 in grue parish hedmark county in norway

married hanna lovise haagensdatter 13 may 1866 in ullensaker parish akershuse county norway They lived on a farm called stensbyeie

in 2 july 1882 he left for america leaving his wife and 7 kids in norway and ended up in chicago 2 of his children then followed him
hansine, allette, they johan and the 2 kids were then registered with the name stensby after the farm they lived stensbyeie

they ended up in stoughon dane wisconsin

johan eldest son mariusaged 20 then joined his dad who now had changed his name to john stensby
at the 1920 census john stensby (johan andreasen ) was 76 years of age and living in stoughton ward 1 dane wisconsin he is registered living with other older men also norwegians and he is registered as a widower as his wife hanna died 4 april 1916 in norway still living at stensbyeie

in the 1930 census john stensby (johan andreasen ) is living on an old home in verona dane wisconsin he was 85 years old and that is all i have i looked at the perry plat map of residents in perry town of 1922 and there was a farm registered to john stensby

i have been looking for this person for years as i need to know what happened why he left his wife and kids and when he died i am hopeful that this is him and his death certificate would have all this info but i dont know where to get this from and to what year i need to ask for even his new marriage entry or certficate would also have this info .

There is probably a John Stensby (JOhan Eriksen) born 1869 buried in Perry, but he is the son of Erik Amundsen, Steensbye.

Johan Eriksen was born on the Upper Stensby farm near Nordkisa, Ullensaker, Akershus, Norway, on July 11, 1869. He was the oldest son of Erik Amundsen and Berte Johannesdatter Stensby. He was baptized and confirmed in the Hovin Church in Jessheim.

In April, 1888, Johan came to America where his older sister Maria Rude, and his aunt, Anne Amundsdatter Valstad, already lived. He lived initially in Stoughton, but later moved to the home of his cousin, Maria Valstad, in Brigham Township, Iowa County, Wisconsin. He worked as a carpenter.

On August 23, 1899, he was married to Alpha Hansen Valstad in the Perry Lutheran Church in Daleyville, Dane Co., Wisconsin. They lived in various rental properties in the area until 1907, when they bought a farm just east of the church.

Johan and Alpha had three daughters: Mildred (1900 - 1940), Lilyan (1912 - 2001), and Lydia (1914). They retired from the farm in 1939, and moved into a house in Daleyville where Johan died of congestive heart failure on November 9, 1940. He was buried in the cemetery behind the Perry Church in Daleyville.

He was survived by his wife, his daughters Mildred (Mrs. Albert Bringle - died December 1940), and Lilyan (later Mrs. Alfred Ness). He was further survived by his brothers Ole (in Wisconsin), and Hans (in Norway), his sister Lina Valstad in Wisconsin, and his sister Birgitte Rotnebo in Norway. He was preceded in death by his daughter Lydia, his sisters Emilie Opstad, Hilda (died young), and Olava Bjortomt in Norway, and his sister Maria Rude in North Dakota.

He was also survived by four grandchildren: Irene, John, Thelma, and Paul Bringle.
