Was born April 22, 1932 in Seattle, WA. to Hilmar and Martha
Knudsen. She was the youngest of four children. She passed away July
29, 2001 in Kirkland, WA. Lillian is survived by her beloved husband
of 53 years George, their children David, Nancy, Lee, Catherine,
Donald, and Martha. Also surviving are her 8 grandchildren, her sister
Margaret and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial Services begin
at 1 p.m. Thursday, August 2, 2001 at Evergreen-Washelli Funeral
Home, 206-362-5200. Memorials preferred to Children's Hospital or

Lillian is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years George W. Salyer, their children David G. (and wife Carole) Salyer, Edmonds, WA; Nancy M. Slayer, Everett, WA; Lee A. Salyer, Lake Forest Park, WA; Catherine L. (and friend Brian Raby) Little, Lynnwood; Donald P. (and wife Dawn) Salyer, Mountlake Terrace, WA; and Martha R. (and husband Michael) Fiantaca. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Stephen Salyer; Brent Rowley; Amber Rowley; Paul Salyer; Christina Salyer; Tyler Salyer; Nathan Salyer; Henry Fiantaca and one child expected in January 2002; her sister Margaret Knutsen, Seattle, WA and numerous nieces and nephews and her 100 year old father-in-law: George P. Salyer of Everett, WA. Lillian was preceded in death by a son Dale W. Salyer.

Margaret J. KNUDSEN, age 89, passed away in Kenmore on September 22, 2004. She was born in Seattle on July 16, 1915. She worked for Seattle City Light for many years. Margaret devoted her life to serving the Lord, her family and those in need through various Christian organizations and missionary funds. All who knew her loved her. Margaret is survived by her brother-in-law, George W. Salyer, five nephews, three nieces and their families, and by numerous great nieces, great nephews, relatives and a host of friends. Margaret was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, September 29, 2004 at Evergreen Memorial Park, Seattle. A private reception will follow at the Cahill Residence. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Margaret’s memory to the Indonesian Ministries C/O: Cathy Little, 14525 84th Ave. NE, Kenmore, WA 98028. hilmar was one of two candidates to be toves great-greandfather. his possible child was

named andor nilsen . lived at bitterstad in hadsel. andor was born in 1906.hilmar left the

country in 1908 bound for america.

i can not find him in ellis island under either last name nilsen or knudsen.but i know i saw

him in the 1920 and 1930 census , but it flashed before my eyes so fast...

both andor and his son ove are only childs. it would mean the world to ove

my father-in-law if he could find living relatives. and possibly ask them if they know if

hilmar was andors father. in hadsel church-books the childs father was named adolf

nilsen. but andors mother always said hilmar is the father. in 1914 andors mother sofie

was accidentally shot by her own brother....

so you can see it is a very small family with a bit of tragedy..

anything you can find out from 1908 until now will be treasured dearly.

born in dverberg in nordland on 22.12.1882. i can not find him anywhere after his

son was born outside wedlock in 1906.

funny thing, when i searched for hilmar k. in emigranter fra trondhjem , the line above

hilmar was hilmar andor kristiansen hansen b.1889 i hadsel . that is andors uncle who

left for idaho in 26.09.1907. is it a sign ?

the picture of margaret , you would not believe it but she is the spitting image of

andor when he celebrated his 80 th birthday back in 1986.
