Margaret devoted her life to serving the Lord, her family and those in need through various Christian organizations and missionary funds. All who knew her loved her. Margaret is survived by her brother-in-law, George W. Salyer, five nephews, three nieces and their families, and by numerous great nieces, great nephews, relatives and a host of friends. Margaret was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, September 29, 2004 at Evergreen Memorial Park, Seattle. hilmar was one of two candidates to be toves great-greandfather. his possible child was
named andor nilsen . lived at bitterstad in hadsel. andor was born in 1906.hilmar left the
country in 1908 bound for america.
i can not find him in ellis island under either last name nilsen or knudsen.but i know i saw
him in the 1920 and 1930 census , but it flashed before my eyes so fast...
both andor and his son ove are only childs. it would mean the world to ove
my father-in-law if he could find living relatives. and possibly ask them if they know if
hilmar was andors father. in hadsel church-books the childs father was named adolf
nilsen. but andors mother always said hilmar is the father. in 1914 andors mother sofie
was accidentally shot by her own brother....
so you can see it is a very small family with a bit of tragedy..
anything you can find out from 1908 until now will be treasured dearly.

You must first find exact birthdate of Hilmar to make sure you are following the correct person.
When he left Norway in 1908, he was going back to America where he lived.

funny thing, when i searched for hilmar k. in emigranter fra trondhjem , the line above
hilmar was hilmar andor kristiansen hansen b.1889 i hadsel . that is andors uncle who
left for idaho in 26.09.1907. is it a sign ?
the picture of margaret , you would not believe it but she is the spitting image of
andor when he celebrated his 80 th birthday back in 1986.
