Jeg også tror det er den personen jeg er ute etter. Han er født 17.04.1847. Alderen stemmer ikke helt med det som er oppgitt ved emigrasjon. Han ble født i Hegra, Stjørdal. Gift 22.05.1870 med Jonetta Torgersdatter, Finnes ved folketellingen 1900 med busted i Nedre Enkeltskillingsveiten 2 i Trondheim. Ble i 1894 enkemann.

I have lots of info regarding Torger Kornelius Hansen's background and family in Norway - back to his g-g-grandfather. And there is a lot posted on the web. If you are interested I will give you the URL and the e-mail of submitters.

Mother: Jonetta Torgersdtr (Osteras-Stageberg) born 1837 died January 14, 1894 in Trondheim.

Torger had siblings as follows:

Anna b July 5, 1876 (my g-grandmother)
Helmer Julius born October 25, 1879

Yesterday I posted a message on the above mentioned board as we knew Torger was in Lewis County, ID. This is the very clarifying response I got:

Torger K. Hansen, born 1872, died 1958, buried in the Craigmont Cemetery. He married Pearl M. Echelbarger at Elmore, MN, Nov 24, 1898. She was born May 5, 1878, at Minnesota Lake, MN. Died Sep 15, 1951, at Clarkston, WA.

Torger was a blacksmith. They first owned a blacksmith shop at Pilot Grove, MN. In 1903 they came west, first settling at Spokane where they maintained a family home for years. They also lived at Craigmont about ten years. They had been Clarkston residents since 1940.

They had eight children. Three died in infancy. One, Howard Archer Hansen, born Oct 7, 1900 and died Oct 23, 1918, is buried by his parents in Craigmont. The four surviving in 1951 were Thomas Hansen, Mrs. Lucille Crea, Mrs. Clara Marian Walton and Mrs. Thelma Jones.

I found an obituary on Lucille. She was born March 25, 1902, at Pilot Grove MN. Oh June 2, 1921, she married Thomas Crea. She died Jan 11, 1991, at Spokane, WA, and is buried in Prairie View Cemetery at Grangeville, ID beside her husband who died in 1983.

I found an obituary on Thelma. She was born September 23, 1904, in Spokane, WA. First married a man by the last name of Jones and had one daughter. She married John Adkison in 1952. He died in 1976 and she died Nov 25, 1996, at Spokane, WA. She was cremated and her ashes are buried in Prairie View Cemetery.

I have not been able to find anything on Thomas or Clara, They appearantly both died before 1991 because they are not listed as surviving Lucille.
