Searching for the baptism record for Lars Andersen born 1850 Frogner Aker (?). This is all I have.

I have not been able to find any information.

There are several places and parishes in Norway called Frogn, Frogner and Fron. Usually, there is a lot more information to be found in the American sources.

Where in the US did he live? When did he die? Where and whom did he marry? When did he arrive in the US?

The family thinks that he was from Aker. He is the father of the illegitimate child born to Anne Olsdatter (baptized in Grue in 1873), but unfortunately, that is the only information they have about him.

This is a difficult challenge. Lars Andersen is a very «generic» name, and there is no Lars Andersen who fits the description in the 1875 census in Grue.

This means that Lars was probably a short term visitor to Grue, which again increases the risk that the information about him is from the child’s mother’s memory, and not necessarily correct.

If we assume that the name Lars Andersen is correct, he was probably born in the 1840-ies or early 1850-ies.
He probably lived at a farm called Frogner at some point, but he was not necessarily born there.
Frogner in (Vestre) Aker is probably the best guess, which was a big estate with many emplyees.

There are more than a thousand Lars Andersens in each of the 1865 and 1875 census records, but with the age limits and geographic limit to the counties of Oslo, Akershus and Hedmark, we are down to about 50.

None of these have a link to Frogner, but there is one in Vestre Aker in the 1865 census who fits the profile

He was born in Hakadal, north of Oslo, in 1850, and he is working for a Swedish coachman, which gives him a reason to be «on the road» between Norway and Sweden, possibly going through Grue.

This is so far just a speculative candidate that needs to be confirmed by other records.
I have not found him in the 1875 census, which suggests that he either died, or emigrated between 1873 and 1875
